The Rules and Regulations of the 19th Ada Sari International Vocal Artistry Competition has been changed

Małgorzata Walewska, Artistic Director of the Nineteenth Ada Sari International Competition of Vocal Art in Nowy Sącz, and Andrzej Zarych, Director of the Nineteenth Ada Sari International Competition of Vocal Art in Nowy Sącz, would like to inform that due to the outbreak of an epidemic in Poland, the formula of the Competition has been changed, whose programme participants in Stage 3 will not be accompanied by the Orchestra. In Stage 3 they will be accompanied by the Competition Accompanists.
In connection with the above, referring to the provisions of point IX.2 of the Rules of the 19th Ada Sari International Competition of Vocal Art in Nowy Sącz, the Directors inform of the following changes to the Competition Rules. Important changes concerning dates and other issues are marked in red.

Due to the state of the Covid 19 pandemic the content of the points has been changed:

28.07.2021 - DRAWING OF THE ORDER OF PARTICIPANTS

28.08.2021, 20.00 - OPENING OF THE COMPETITION

29-30.08.2021 - I STAGE

31.08.- 1.09.2021 - STAGE 2

2.09.2021 - A REHEARSAL WITH THE COMPETITION ACCOMPANISTS FOR THE FINALISTS

03.09.2021 - STAGE III

4.09.2021 - AWARD CEREMONY AND CONCERT OF LAUREATES.

- VII. Organizational matters pt. 4, which currently reads as follows. 4:

4. the Participants of the Competition should register on 28.08.2021 from 12.00 to 22.00 at the Organizing Office, which will be located at:

Malopolska Cultural Centre SOKÓŁ
in Nowy Sącz at ul. Długosza 3
(entrance from ul. Kościuszki).


Each participant should present the confirmation of payment in the Organizing Office, regardless of who covers the costs - the university or the participant himself. The payment confirmation will be the basis for admitting the participant to the Competition and for free hotel accommodation.

- VII. Organizational matters pt. 5, which is currently as follows:

(5) As part of the entry fee, participants during their stay at the Competition are guaranteed:

- accommodation in a mid-range hotel in Nowy Sacz (2- and 3-bed rooms) in stage I, and in case of qualifying to stage II - accommodation until the end of the Competition. In case of qualifying to stage II - accommodation until the end of the Competition, i.e. 3/4.09.2021, however for the winners of the Competition the possibility of using accommodation will be prolonged until 4/5.09.2021;

- board during Stage I (first meal - dinner on 28.08.2021, then 3 meals a day), and in case of qualifying to Stage II. In case of qualifying to Stage II - board until the end of the Competition (the last meal is breakfast on 4.09.2021) if the participant expressed such a wish in the application form;

- materials connected with the Ada Sari Vocal Art Competition - catalog etc;

- entrance fee for the competition auditions;

- possibility of cooperation with the Competition's accompanist, if a participant expressed such a wish in the application form;

- opportunity to practice for the accompanist engaged by the participant or the university; - provision of participation in one rehearsal with the Competition's accompanist on 2.09.2021 (this applies to finalists only).



- VII. Organizational matters pt. 8, which currently reads as follows:

(8) Accompanists should register on 28.08.2021 between 12.00 and 22.00 at the Organizing Office, which will be located in:

- VII. Organizational matters pt. 9, which is currently as follows:

9. As part of the entry fee, accompanists during their stay at the Competition are guaranteed:

- accommodation in mid-range hotels in Nowy Sącz (double and triple rooms) in stage I, and in case of qualifying to stage II - accommodation until the end of the Competition. stage - accommodation until the end of the Competition, i.e. 3/4.09.2021, however for the winners of the Competition the possibility of using accommodation will be prolonged until 4/5.09.2021;

- board during stage I (first meal - dinner on 28.08.2021, then 3 meals a day) and in case of qualifying to stage II. In case of qualifying to Stage II - board until the end of the Competition (the last meal is breakfast on 4.09.2021) if the participant expressed such a wish in the application form;

- VII. Organizational matters pt. 10, which currently reads as follows:

10. accompanists who do not participate in further stages of the Competition due to non-qualification will be reimbursed the difference in costs (by bank transfer) after the Competition. Each accompanist's stay will be calculated separately, depending on the number of nights, the type of hotel and room, and the number of meals. (The accompanist's fee also includes the fee for correspondence and printing of materials). The organizers do not provide for settlements related to the accompanists' accommodation costs during the Competition.

IMPORTANT! Accompanists who have withdrawn from the Competition will be refunded their fee after the end of the Competition minus 20% of the fee, if they inform the Organizing Committee in writing about their absence on 27.07.2021 at the latest, or 50% of the fee, if they do not inform the Organizing Committee about their absence or do it after 27.07.2021).

- VII. Organizational matters para. 13, which is currently as follows:

13. On 28.07.2021, a draw of lots will be conducted in the presence of the Contest organizers to determine the order of appearance of the Contest participants, which will apply to all stages of the Contest. The results of the draw will be immediately published on www.adasari.pl.



The remaining provisions of the Rules remain unchanged.
