Aleksander Teliga

Pianist, répétiteur, vocal coach. A graduate of the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, Faculty of Instrumental and Pedagogical, Music Education and Vocal Studies in Bialystok and the University of Silesia in Katowice. He was a participant of the Opera Academy Young Talents Development Programme at the Polish National Opera from 2016 to 2021, training under Eytan Pessen.

He has honed his skills for working with singers during masterclasses taught by such authorities as: Helmut Deutsch, Thomas Lausmann, Hedwig Fassbender, Izabela Kłosińska, Lech Napierała, Maciej Pikulski, Francesco Massimi, Siergiej Leiferkus, Anna Marchwińska, René Massis, Olga Pasiecznik, Matthias Rexroth, Tobias Truniger, Mariusz Kwiecień and Neil Shicoff. He has collaborated with such maestros as: Patrick Fournillier, Friedrich Haider, José Maria Florêncio, Benjamin Bayl, Tadeusz Kozłowski, Grzegorz Nowak, Marcin Sompoliński, Stefan Plewniak, Andrzej Knap, Michał Klauza and Krzysztof Penderecki.

He has played in concerts at venues including Oper Frankfurt, Opéra de Marseille, Teatro Ghione in Roma, Polish National Opera in Warsaw, Warsaw Chamber Opera, Silesian Opera in Bytom, Polish Radio’s Witold Lutosławski Concert studio. He also performed in Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belarus, Spain and South Korea.

As a competition pianist, he accompanied singers during the Concorso Lirico Internazionale Ottavio Ziino in Roma (2022), 10th and 11th International Moniuszko Competition in Warsaw (2019, 2022), Ada Sari International Vocal Artistry Competition in Nowy Sącz (2021) and Bogdan Paprocki National Vocal Competition in Bydgoszcz, where he received a Special Award for an outstanding pianist (2021).

As a pianist/répétiteur he took part in the preparation of more than 30 opera productions. He has worked with Warsaw Chamber Opera, Silesian Opera in Bytom, Baltic Opera in Gdańsk and the Teatr Wielki in Poznań. He has been working with the Polish National Opera in Warsaw, since 2021.
